Learn more about Oceanside

Oceanside is the first city you enter in San Diego county when coming from the north. This makes it a prime location for being in the middle of all of Souther California. No matter the neighborhood you settle within Oceanside you’ll have access to what this amazing geography has to offer at your fingertips. Oceanside offers an easy-going Southern California beach vibe with an art-culture twist. Multiple highlights make Oceanside an absolute stellar spot to work, play, eat and live. For starters, Oceanside has spectacular year-round weather with an average temperature of 71 degrees. The Oceanside pier is one of the longest wooden piers and is specifically known for fantastic fishing. Additionally, the Oceanside harbor is lined with cute New England-style cottages that are occupied by large waterfront restaurants, coffee shops, and boutique stores.

O’side must-dos
In addition to the beautiful beaches that Oceanside has to offer there are many other sites to visit. If you’re flying solo, on a date, or with the family we think you should take in the sites of downtown O’side with a mural walk. You will not only have an opportunity to see some locally manifested street art but possibly pick out your next spot to grab a bite. While you’re cruising downtown you can stop at the California Surf Museum. Here you will get a taste for the California surf culture starting from the 1930s. Additionally, if you happen to be in Downtown O’side on a Thursday you can enjoy an art & farmers market filled with local favorites.
Further inland, Oceanside is also home to the mother of all missions, Mission San Luis Rey which was founded in the 1700s. Or if you are more of a nature buff you might want to visit the Guajome Regional Park which offers hiking, fishing, horse trails, and overnight camping. If staying closer to the water is more your vibe then visit the Buena Vista Lagoon. The lagoon happens to be the ONLY freshwater lagoon in southern California and is home to many different species of birds, and wildlife.
Not in the mood for nature or the beach then Oceanside still has your back. For all of you adrenaline junkies Oceanside has indoor skydiving, helicopter tours, and outdoor skydiving with GoJump Oceanside at the Oceanside Airport.

The neighborhoods of oceanside are as diverse as the activities. South Oceanside or Townsite is everything south of the Interstate 5 Freeway. Here you will find your typical beach-style living. On the Eastside of the 5 Freeway, you have Fire Mountain with its larger homes and lots. Loma Alta offers a wide range of houses and surrounds Buddy Todd Park. Future inland you’ll find more planned developments mixed with original gems. Oceanside also offers a 55+ senior neighborhood called Oceana. Altogether you can find homes for first-time buyers to multi-million dollar beachfront homes. All-in-all Oceanside had a lot to offer. If you have any more questions, reach out to us. We are always game for coffee, food, or drinks.
